Gulf Coast Storage Expansion Project
On January 17, 2025, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (NGPL) submitted a Section 7(c) certificate application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in Docket No. CP25-52 seeking approval to construct its proposed Gulf Coast Storage Expansion Project.
NGPL is expanding its firm natural gas storage capacity by 10 billion cubic feet (Bcf) on the Gulf Coast portion of its system. The project will create additional Nominated Firm Storage Service (NSS) capacity for shippers to inject, store and withdraw gas. It will consist primarily of pipeline looping and the installation of additional compression. NGPL expects to place the project in service by April 1, 2027.
