Texas-Arkansas Power Project

Project Overview

On December 18, 2025, Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America LLC (NGPL) submitted a Section 7(c)/7(b) certificate application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in Docket No. CP26-46-000 seeking approval to construct its proposed Texas-Arkansas Power Project.

As set forth in the application, the Project will enable NGPL to provide 400,000 Dth/day of incremental firm natural gas transportation service along its Gulf Coast Mainline System to serve new and existing natural gas-fired power generation facilities in Texas and Arkansas. The project will consist primarily of the installation of additional horsepower and modifications to existing compression at an existing compressor station. NGPL expects to place the new facilities in service by November 1, 2028.
